LAMSA Weapons Systems Pole-Cat Used To Take Criminals Off The Street

Los Angeles County Sheriff finds product it co-developed with LAMSA Weapons Systems to be an effective tool in apprehending criminals.

Los Angeles, CA, 06/18/02 - LAMSA Weapons Systems Pole-Cat has been acquired by several large law enforcement agencies in the California market and is starting to gain momentum. The department currently using the system most prolifically is the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB). SEB has found the system aids not only in suspect/contraband searches, but has also proven useful in keeping deputies out of the line of fire. The very first time the Pole-Cat was deployed, it allowed SEB to catch a suspect hiding in an attic.

The Pole-Cat was introduced at Trexpo West and many of the California agencies are following the lead of the LASD and are in the process of acquiring the product.

Its low law enforcement price has allowed many departments afflicted with fiscal shortages to fit the Pole-Cat into their budget.

The Pole-Cat remains the simplest pole camera system to operate on the market. It also continues to be the only one developed with the rugged use of Special Weapons Teams, K9, Special Task Forces, and Narcotics officers in mind. It was specifically developed jointly by LAMSA and LASD/SEB for suspect searches.
