Advancing the State of the Art Project Risk Management

In the aftermath of the dot-com meltdown and other recent events, there is a heightened awareness of the need for risk management. The Project Management Institute is offering a symposium dedicated to improving project risk management skills.

Risk Management Symposium, Long Beach, CA Hyatt Regency, 12-14th September, 2002: We are proud to present the first symposium in Southern California dedicated to "Advancing the State of the Art of Risk Management" for project management professionals.

A partnership of several Project Management Institute components offers this as a benefit for their members, and for the general good of the profession of project management.

In the aftermath of the dot-com meltdown and other recent events, there is a heightened awareness of the need for risk management. The PMI Risk Specific Interest Group and southern California PMI chapters are proud to sponsor this symposium with speakers who are well known in this field and have many years of practical experience. Our speakers come from a broad spectrum of industries and government agencies. We are excited about these men and women sharing with us what they have learned about managing the risks in projects."
