on-IDLE http://www.on-idle.com celebrated its third birthday on 28th June 2002, surviving the dot com boom and bust, demonstrating that their solid and robust offerings deliver quick returns for their customers in a volatile market.
To focus upon their key strengths and keep prices competitive, on-IDLE have decided to launch a new company as a spin-off from the core company on-IDLE. This new company, Open Infinite Ltd http://www.o-idev.com, launching in mid-August 2002, will concentrate on development of products within the web services and XML industry. on-IDLE will continue to take advantage of the technology that it originally fostered, using the first product out of the Open Infinite stable, o-iDevŠ, to design and build websites with content management functionality built in.
on-IDLE are now able to offer low cost, quick turn around projects for organisations wishing to take more control of the content on their websites, and have the ability to 're-fresh information regularly without the expense of programmers.
o-iDev provides the ability to design, build and implement a website with easily updateable static pages as well as using a simple web based admin interface for controlling multiple data sources for the more dynamic aspects of the site (e.g. product catalogues, address books, press centres etc).
In addition to the content management aspects of o-iDev and the solutions they build with it, o-iDev uses the principles of XML to separate the Content, Code (Data) and Presentation. This makes it easier to re-use functionality with different content and/or different designs. This now allows companies to have multiple brands or products sets published using the same product -- using one o-iDev licence to create many different websites within the same organisation.
