NUW stands for Not The Usual Way, and is a community of independent authors that grows stronger by the day. Their commitment to excellent work, and support for each other in their efforts to battle the corporate forces that control the minds and reading material of the masses is unequaled in the writers communities.

The Award of Excellence is given each month to the member who exhibits the skills, and traits necessary for achieving success in the independent authors arena, but most importantly, shows the desire and ability to share those traits and the knowledge with others in the community as well.
