Smartworks-PE , a FREE software to boost productivity is released

Smartworks-PE is a freeware which lets it's users measure and boost their productivity. Smartworks comes with default plug ins for project management, issue tracking, system/network monitoring. All the activities are measured using the metrics plugin which comes with Smartworks. Smartworks-PE runs on all Windows9x/2000/ME/NT 4.x.

Accord Software & Systems Inc., has released an affordable, easy to use productivity enhancement tool, Smartworks. Smartworks is an application framework which includes tools for Project management, Defect tracking, System/Network parameter monitoring and a tool to measure the progress made in projects and service.

Smartworks helps the management to understand the reliability and efficiency of its products and service to its end customers. It provides a way to continuously improve the quality of the process and products. It allows managers to make work group focus on main objectives by prioritizing tasks.

The current release (2.0) comes in four different flavors:

1. Smartworks-PE (Personal Edition, FREE)

Smartworks PE , is a personal edition and is free for personal use. This edition has all the features of other editions of Smartworks but does not allow sharing of the data to other computers in the network. 2. Smartworks-HO (Home Office , 5 users, US $99)

If you are running a Home office which has less than five employees, then this edition is what you may need to use. It could be also applicable if you want to try out Smartworks in a small way in your department before installing this to other departments. This comes with a Smartworks server which has a 5 user license and is available for US $99.

3. Smartworks-SO (Small Office, 10 users, US $199)

If your office is small and employs less than ten employees then this is the edition most suited for you. This comes with a Smartworks server which has a 10 user license and is available for US $199

4. Smartworks-Pro (Professional, 50 users, US $999)

If your organization has close to fifty employees who would be collaborating on various issues, then you may need to go in for a Professional edition of Smartworks. This comes with a server which has 50 user license and priced at US $999.

5. Smartworks-EE (Enterprise, unlimited users, US $1999)

If your organization employs more than fifty people we would recommend you to go for this edition. This edition comes with a server which has unlimited user license (site license) and is priced at US $1999
