Local home-based businesswoman, Kristie Tamsevicius is preparing to celebrate the sixth annual "Stay Home With Your Kids Day" on Monday August 19, 2002. Stay Home With Your Kids Day is sponsored by WAHM.com: The Online Magazine for Work-at-Home Moms. The purpose of the day is to provide a day of recognition and celebration for those parents who have chosen to be home with their children.
Cheryl Demas, publisher of the WAHM.com web site says, "If you're thinking about leaving the traditional workplace, Stay Home With Your Kids Day is the perfect opportunity to take a vacation day and give serious thought to making the change. Leaving your job may not be an easy decision, but if you heart aches every time you drive away from the child care center in the morning, it might be time to look at other options." And there are many options for parents today; aside from working full-time outside the home. Many parents are finding that working from home is the perfect solution to their work/home dilemma.
Kristie Tamsevicius has been running WebMomz.com and KCD Web Design from her home since November of 1999. Owning my own home based business has given me the freedom to live my life my way putting my kids first. I schedule my workday around play dates and school events," Says Kristie. Stay Home With Your Kids Day gives people a taste of what life 'could be like if they chose to work from home. It also allows people see the precious moments that they miss out on when they kids are in a day care situation."
As Demas States, "If we can have a day to take our children to work, we should be able to devote one day to staying home with our children. While we realize that not all parents can or wish to be home full-time with their kids, WAHM.com is dedicated to giving advice and support to those who are determined to make it work. Give it a try; 'Mom' can be the best job description you've ever had."
