Eutilia announces managed throughput of € 1 billion in first year

Eutilia has managed throughput via its Sourcing Optimisation Services with a net worth of over € 1 billion during the course of its first year -- which is double the figure it had achieved in February at Eutilias official launch.

Sourcing Optimisation Services deliver time and money savings to utilities across Europe

Eutilia, the leading independent Pan-European marketplace for the utility sector, backed by 11 of Europes largest utility companies, today announced that it has managed throughput via its Sourcing Optimisation Services with a net worth of over € 1 billion during the course of its first year -- which is double the figure it had achieved in February at Eutilias official launch.

Eutilia offers a full range of services for buying, selling and supply chain management and has so far run over 200 auctions with an average number of five bidders per auction. With a proven track record in helping utilities achieve savings of up to 30% it is now firmly on the way to becoming the supply hub for the utilities industry.

Wim Rietveld, Chief Executive Officer, said, This is a significant milestone for the company and we feel very proud to have achieved it only 5 months after the official launch of our Sourcing Optimisation Services. With the completion of two e-Auctions and a Supplier Scan last week from Electricité de France and Iberdrola we passed the € 1 billion milestone. This is not just good news for Eutilia - any utility, which has not yet considered an e-Procurement solution, should take note of the business advantage our customers are achieving in terms of significant time and cost reductions -- whether on the buy or supply side. Eutilia is completely neutral, totally secure, uses proven best-in-class technology and, most importantly, has great depth of knowledge of the utility industry.

With Eutilia, both buyers and suppliers benefit. Buyers get access to a global market -- both in terms of volume and geography. Potential sources of supply are found in one place reducing costs and saving time. Procurement spending is reduced via a tender process that is fast, effective and integrated into the supply chain. Suppliers gain access to a large community of buyers in the utility sector with minimal marketing and administrative costs, providing a greater number of new business opportunities.
