INSIGHTS LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT UNVEILS INSIGHTS IMPRESSIONS

Insights new product, Insights Impressions, can be downloaded to Palm Pilot Operating Systems for mini" Discovery Profile

Insights Learning & Development today announced Insights Impressions, a new free software download for Palm Connected Organizers that allows users to complete a five-frame evaluator and receive one of sixteen mini personal Insights Discovery Profiles. Insights Impressions provides a limited subset of the functionality of Insights Discovery, a program designed for individuals, groups, management teams, or entire organizations to help understand and improve the communication and interpersonal dynamics within their group and with their customers.

By answering a brief questionnaire accessed from the Palm Connected Organizer the Insights Impressions tool generates a profile that includes a simple overview of the users personality and tips on effective communication methods based on the overview. Based on the Psychological Type work of Carl Jung, the Insights Discovery System was developed in the UK and is now used across the world as a practical application of Jungian Psychology for the workplace.

Within ten days of the freeware being made available to the public through the Insights World web site (www.insightsworld.com/impressions) and the Palmgear.com site there were more than 1700 downloads. Insights Impressions is especially useful for teams that share their profiles with each other to facilitate greater understanding of differing communication styles.

The Insights Impression software was designed and developed by Senior Developer, Gavin Greig, who is based at Insights headquarters in Dundee, Scotland. Gavins inspiration came after CEO Andy Lothian expressed an interest in a program that he could use on his Palm PDA. Insights Impressions was tested using the Palm OS® Emulator, a software that emulates the hardware of the various models of Palm Powered handhelds.
