Controversial issues - revealing ancient secret society - does God exist?

For many years now there has been an upsurge in revelation stories and alternative viewpoints on mans history. People such as Graham Hancock and Lawrence Gardner have brought to light many new ideas and many new problems. Now there is a new theory which is all encompassing and clearly brings into focus a more sinister reason behind the emergence of civilisation.
In his theory on Atlantis Graham Hancock is receiving much admiration and recently academic acclaim. Standard academic thought is more towards the spontaneous eruption of civilisation across the globe, with no or little explanation of why there are so many similarities between the cultures. Now, Philip Gardiner, in his new book The Shining Ones is set to turn even this upon its head.
The theory is so simple that it begs the question, why has it not been thought of before? The reason for universal similarity of architecture, language, art, travel and religious belief is quite simply an ancient and secret religious brotherhood who have hidden themselves deep within the symbols, ciphers and codes of our ancient texts for hundreds of years. They held a secret knowledge and power base which spread with them across the globe. The very title that they have given themselves is hidden within the standard text and religious books we use every day - The Shining Ones.
Put like this, the whole thing can sound like an X-Files conspiracy theory. However the author has invested huge amounts of time and energy checking, researching and seeking the advice of academics. Now the theory is attracting the attention of historians who can see that the patterns are as subtle as this author proposes. The fact is, this theory does explain away all the problems with dating and variations that people such as Hancock have come up against.
Many academics and especially Egyptologists are now turning to this way of thinking and with Gardiners spirit and broad knowledge in history and language the history of the ancients and the secrets that they hold are becoming more clear.
There is a major TV documentary in pre-production stages and with interviews planned across the nation on radio and TV the message may soon be accepted as a credible theory.

Book: The Shining Ones

Review Title: I dont want to believe
Just when you thought you had heard the latest conspiracy theory, another one crops up. Or at least thats what I thought until I read the amazing new book by Philip Gardiner called The Shining Ones.
Thoroughly expecting to be greeted by a barrage of government hating men in black ufo nonsense I was remarkably surprised. Not only is this a truly massive project of historical research it is also a world changing and insightful work from a relatively unknown author.
The book stakes its claim on having uncovered the worlds most powerful and ancient secret society. It is with huge claims like this that most of us, who have some knowledge of the conspiracy world, get that familiar sinking feeling. Surely, if the secret was so great and those in power so powerful, then such secrets would not be allowed to be printed. That is where I came across my first problem. This book has been published by a brand new publishing company, strategically set up to print books that other publishing companies are too scared to publish. Not only that the author himself is a co-founder and director of the publishing company. Immediate respect, putting his money where his mouth is.
So what about the book? Does it stand up to its claim? In a word, and a surprising one, yes! It may start out a little slow, it may go on about backing up its claim with science and some startling ideas about strange phenomena, but it does get to the point fairly quickly, and what a point! I have read just about every book there is, I have searched the conspiracy websites, but never before have I found such evidence placed before me in such a balanced and well researched format.
This book has, without doubt, entirely changed my entire outlook on world history. Unless something else, equally as strong, comes along soon then I shall firmly believe for the rest of my life that there was and probably is a secret brotherhood of men calling themselves, quite blatantly, The Shining Ones. They have, without doubt in my mind, merged into our history, moulded it and set it on a self fulfilling future.
If I have any complaints about the book at all, it is simply that I wanted to know more. The author claims that simply for the purposes of length that he must end his story just after Mohammed, promising a follow up book to bring us up to date. I wish he would hurry the process along and let us have the next instalment.

Philip Gardiner
A Short Biography

Philip is married with two children and lives in the East Midlands of England. He is 33 years old. He is a Marketing Director and co-owner of a midlands marketing, design and print group.

He has worked in the printing industry the majority of his life as a Manager and Director of various firms including the Electricity board where he was involved in the strategic marketing of the products.

As part of his role Philip regularly gives seminars to large organisations including Government regarding marketing and especially the history of propaganda.

Philip has written extensively as a ghost writer for various products and services as well as having had his previous book "Proof" published in 1994 and 1998 by Hudson and Eco respectively. "Proof" was an investigation into the existence of God; Philip has now re-written the book it will be re-launched in October 2002 by radikalbooks.com.

During the process of the launch of "Proof" Philip appeared on 46 radio programmes across the country, from Scotland to the South of England, including the James Whale show. He also had a programme produced in Scotland called Eikon which was shown on national TV. He also toured the country extensively promoting the book with talks and seminars discussing the evidence he had uncovered.

Philip has acted as an advisor to various other authors regarding mythology and history as well as having ghost written many articles for various magazines.

In his new book "The Shining Ones" he has set about proving a theory discovered regarding an ancient priesthood called The Shining Ones who developed into the worlds most powerful secret society. Philip uses history, mythology, symbolism and his own expertise of propaganda to prove his theories.

The next stage in his work will be the follow up of The Shining Ones which will finally put to bed the real truth behind The Holy Grail, The Elixir of Life and The Philosophers Stone - as the evidence uncovered whilst working on the Shining Ones revealed the real identity of these symbolic tools.
