Public Relations Leader Selected as Finalist for Austin Business Journal's Profiles in Power Award

PR strategists, Lauren Peters and Elise Sillers, nominated for Austin Business Journal's Profiles in Power Award. Lauren Peters selected as finalist.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Lauren Peters, founder and president of PetersGroup Public Relations, was selected among 67 nominees as a finalist for Austin Business Journals 8th Annual Profiles in Power Awards. The awards recognize women in the Austin area from varying professional and personal backgrounds who have demonstrated success in their respective industries.

Peters established PetersGroup Public Relations in 1997, and has provided strategic leadership for 18 years working with clients providing business-to-business, consumer marketing and public relations expertise. The recipient of numerous awards for outstanding achievement in marketing and communications, Peters also serves on the boards of the Childrens Advocacy Center, Austin Asher House and Austin Technology Council. She is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America.    

Profiles in Power finalists are selected based on their demonstration of community involvement and business success. Judges considered each nominees background including special skills, experience, and major accomplishments in the decision.

Elise Sillers, account manager at PetersGroup Public Relations, was also nominated for her work in the communications field and the community.
