LUCKY DOG THEATRE brings entirely spontaneous theatre pieces to West Coast stages. The veteran improvisers of this masterful ensemble act and sing their way through an outpouring of original, unrehearsed tales ranging in tone from the fiercely comic to the surprisingly personal to the poignantly political.

Unlike "comedy improv", LUCKY DOG performers aim for the laugh that hurts and tears that heal. Each show includes ensemble and solo story telling, multi -character theatrical "scenes" and improvised singing and music, all based on audience suggestions. The style is often physical and stylized, according to Cory who performs and directs this exciting troupe.

The actors are accompanied by recording artist Yehudit, a Bay Area violinist who has performed with John Handy, Jules Broussard, Dan Hicks, and the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
