Six Ways To Lower Prescription Drug Costs

Medical Discounts International (MDI) offers six ways to help U.S. consumers lower their medication costs: free medicine for the very poor; State funded Rx program information; two low cost Canadian medication programs; free Rx discount cards; and a how to obtain foreign medications guide.

Millions of Americans can no longer afford their medications. One new company, Medical Discounts International (MDI), announced the availability of six separate programs to help U.S. consumers lower their medication costs.

When U.S. consumers find that purchasing their medications presents an extreme hardship, MDI offers State sponsored medication program information and for those who qualify, MDI will provide the information and applications to help them apply for free medications.

Gary Lawson, PhD., MDI CEO/founder, said, "There are three qualifications for free medications. The consumer must have a good relationship with their doctor. The consumer can not have any prescription drug benefit, and each medication has a financial qualifying limit.

Thus, according to Lawson, on average consumers making less than $1,200 per month or families earning less than $1,400 per month should attempt to get some of their medications for free.

Lawson, said, "In many cases, people with limited resources can get a few of their medications for free or at a deep discount using State sponsored Rx plans. However, everyone is qualified to save up to 70% by enrolling in one of two Canadian medication programs offered by MDI."

According to Lawson, it is legal to obtain lower cost medications from Canada. There are no problems with quality. The prices are significantly lower. U.S. prescriptions are honored, and the medications are mailed directly to the consumer's home.

MDI also offers a free Prescription Discount Card good at more than 15,000 pharmacies nationwide. Lastly, for people who want to order lower cost medications on their own, MDI sells a guide that teaches the average consumer how to obtain medications from foreign pharmacies.

Lawson said, "To the pleasure of the pharmaceutical industry, medications have become a significant item in the budget of most U.S. families. However, for many Americans without prescription coverage, the problem is critical and as noted by the recent Congressional defeat of the latest prescription drug benefit, no viable solution is in sight."

Prescription drug costs continue to skyrocket, and the nation's most vulnerable population has few options. Medical Discounts International offers six ways to lower prescription drug costs. For more information see their website at www.380MEDS.com or call toll free (888) 380-MEDS.
