Reality Cafe Auction Service offers a full menu of resources, forums and customer support.
Newly launched online auction targets international customers.
Newly launched Reality Cafe Auction Service( http://realitycoffeeandhumblepie.com ) wishes to appeal most strongly to international buyers and sellers who are looking for a family friendly auction community where every voice is heard, and good member relations are as valuable as rare antiques.
"We hope to attract buyers who want the 'flea market' ambience of a small auction site -lots of good used stuff, hand made items and offerings from smaller retailers", says owner, Julie Ford. "At the same time, we're aggressively recruiting sellers who want personal customer service, want quick answers to questions and who understand that if they aren't successful the site isn't either."
Customer service is given the highest priority. Most member e-mails are answered within 24 hours -and no "form letters" here- every situation is scrutinised by a real, live person. From helping with auction descriptions to image resizing advice, Ford is willing to "walk the extra mile" to help make each auction successful.
In-depth help topics, unique auction templates and a basic HTML tutorial put much of the focus on sellers who are new to online auctions, or who sell small amounts every year. "We realise that as auction sites become larger and busier newcomers and little guys selling discount paperbacks, used ice cream makers and hand crafted items may feel lost in the crowd."
Reality Cafe is more than just an auction site; it is an active auction community. The forums are usually busy with people around the world discussing news, politics and popular culture. A wanted board, virtual cookbook for exchanging favorite recipes, chatroom and free member web pages add to the community atmosphere. "We have a great deal more planned," says Ford, "We intend to add more help topics, live news feeds, games and other enhancements in the very near future."
