Karate Kidz Online made their Final choices for both the KKO Teacher Spotlight and the KKO Student Spotlight for August 2002.
Coming straight out of the John Wai Florida Kung Fu Academy, based in Fort Lauderdale Florida and our choice for the Teacher Spotlighted for the month of August 2002, is Sifu John Wai, Sifu John Wai was born in Hong Kong and began training Kung Fu in his early teens. He has studied the style of Choy Lay Fut under his Godfather, the late Master Lee Koon Hung & 4th Generation Master Wong Gong, and Wing Chun Kung Fu under Master Andrew Chung. Sifu Wai started teaching martial arts in the mid 1980s and has developed his expertise as an Instructor of Chinese Kung Fu. Having the knowledge of the two most effective Kung Fu fighting systems in China makes Sifu Wai uniquely qualified to provide a wealthy and diverse medium for his students, both beginner and advanced.

Sifu Wais goal is to teach each individual the ability to facilitate personal growth, heath and well being through Kung Fu. In addition to self defense, Sifu Wai will enhance your knowledge of Chinese philosophy, Kung Fu history, fighting theories, and form applications.

Coming straight out of the Parker Academy of Martial Arts, based in Parker Colorado our choice for the Studentr Spotlighted for the month of August 2002 is Rachael McKinney, Rachael just earned her Black Belt Rank at the Parker Martial Arts Academy. She has competed and ranked high in several Martial Arts events. She makes it a point to participate in all the events that the Parker Martial Arts Academy is involved in both charitable and not. She has proven herself to have the highest level of Martial Arts dedication and earning her Black Belt is just the first step in her long journey. We consider her to be a excellent example to the young girls involved in martial arts showing them if they persevere nothing can stand in their way. We wish her the best of luck in her martial arts journey and we are sure that we will hear a lot more from her in the future. Rachael was our choice for The Karate Kidz Online Student of the Month for August 2002.
