Anonymous Evaluation of Supervisors using the Internet
Now employees can be assured of anonymous evaluations of supervisors. Computer Innovations distributes the evaluation instrument online and provides the company with summary data regarding the effectiveness of individual supervisors. A prime example is teachers evaluating principals.
Computer Software Innovations, Inc. (Seattle) announces a software product utilizing the Internet to evaluate employer/supervisor effectiveness. Using school districts as an example, a school board can contract with CSI, Inc. to evaluate their principals/administrators from the perspective of teachers/staff. Each teacher in a school is given an access code and the CSI website. Any time 24/7 until a set date, teachers can log on and anonymously complete a questionaire including comments regarding their principal. Once submitted, the logon code becomes invalid. All data is tabulated and certified independently by CSI,Inc. The school district receives a statistical summary on each principal including graphs on improvements by categories pre-selected by the district. According to CSI president Chuck Bernasconi "...any company can now receive totally anonymous evaluations of the effectiveness of their supervisory personnel. This process may be used by any industry. The company never sees the source documents."
