MENDOCINO, Calif., August 10, 2002 -- In conjunction with Mendocino Countys 12-day Mushroom Festival in November, the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek is offering two- and three-night Mushroom Madness" packages featuring food and wine tastings, live jazz music, mushroom walks and breakfasts, cooking demonstrations and an art exhibit.

The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek offers guests and the public a variety of special culinary events ranging from a wine and mushroom tasting featuring wines by Brutocao Cellars and live jazz music by Sacramento violinist Dena Dorais on November 9 to a guided mushroom foray led by famed Sonoma County mycologist Charmoon Richardson on November 12.

Visitors who come to the Mushroom Festival on the weekend may choose from a two-night or three-night Mushroom Madness package. Rates start at $295, double occupancy, and include daily mushroom breakfast, Saturday evening mushroom and wine tasting, a guided mushroom walk, a bottle of Brutocaos Schoolhouse Red and a commemorative glass. There is a 10 percent county room tax.
