Sterling Designs Adds New Home Builders Experience and Expertise with Latest Executive Team Additions

DALLAS, TX Aug. 13, 2002--Sterling Designs, Inc., announced today the appointments of Gerald "Jerry" Grotz as Vice President of Operations and Matthew "Matt" Thornton as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Grotz combines an architectural background with multi-regional experience in purchasing, estimating, construction, and project management for various levels of residential products. He has been building in the North Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Lewisville and Southlake area markets since 1994 and brings more than twenty-four years of homebuilding experience to Sterling.

Mr. Thornton joins Sterling after holding the position of President and Chief Technology Officer for one of the nation's top software consulting companies. He has over six years of experience in the area of Business Development and over ten years of experience working with Information Technology. In his previous positions of responsibilities for business development, Mr. Thornton generated over $450 million in new contracts over a period of two years. In his role of CTO, Mr. Thornton is responsible for overseeing any and all information technology initiatives, guiding the firm in the use of the latest technology tools, and making sure that best practices methods are used for all technical related tasks.
