VintageNet will provide e-marketplace to U.S. Chambers for Free

OMAHA, NE -- August 13, 2002 -- VintageNet Inc. announced on August 13th, 2002 that the company would start providing iCHAMBER, a private e-marketplace service, to U.S. chambers of commerce, free of charge. The reason for such a deal is to promote trade online but more importantly give businesses an opportunity to use an e-marketplace to see the benefits it can offer. VintageNet President and CEO Don Johnson said, "This offer will not only benefit the members of the chamber but the chamber itself because it will save them thousands of dollars a year in web development, hosting, and servicing. Providing iCHAMBER to its members will also help the chamber reduce the operating costs of its members and keep them using the chamber web site."

Companies will be able to buy, sell, and trade faster and more economically using iCHAMBER due to its design and practicality. The way iCHAMBER works is a simple process. When a buyer (purchasing officer or employee) within a company becomes a member and places a posting on iCHAMBER for products, goods, or services needed, no seller (company or contractor) will know the identity of the buyer or the company. The reason for this is so the buyer can make a wise choice on whom he/she wants to do business with based on the responses received from the posting and not be contacted inappropriately by sellers. The seller can submit bids for postings placed and as a vender (by becoming a member) is notified by email as soon as a buyer places a posting.

iCHAMBER uses secured servers ensuring that all transactions are submitted as safely.

iCHAMBER is a service maintained and operated by VintageNet Inc., which is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
