Kim L. Dulaney, author of I Can Fly(The R. Kelly Story) releases new novel written to help empower women and children in effort to discourage them from allowing themselves to be victimized.

The new novel, The Beautiful Ones is about a woman coming to love herself and understand what is really necessary to have happiness in her life. How timely is this? In the wake of the accusations against her buddy, Robert Kelly, Rap artist, Mystikal and so many others, Ms. Dulaney believes that the only real solution is to empower women and children so that we won't be so ready and willing to be victimized. We'll host a signing and chat at African American Images 1909 W. 95th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60643. Comedian, Kim Whitley, star of BET's Oh Drama will be on hand for the celebration. We will also tape the commercial for this novel. Ms. Dulaney was extremely well received at the Essence Festival and the Harlem Book Fair last month. Now she's coming home! So get yourselves ready. Low carb, no carb, eye brow plucking and waxing, shaving, hair coloring and cuts, push-ups, curls, squats, etc. Whatever it takes to make you feel good. We need you all to come and be your fine selves! The attire is casual. We want you to be comfortable and free. The entire chat will be taped then edited to make a commercial to be aired nationally and it will also be used as a mailer promo piece for The Beautiful Ones.
