Processing each photo into a numbered outline takes on average 1-2 minutes and consists of 4 basic steps: Scanning the photo, cropping, setting the complexity level, and printing the numbered outlines.
The complexity and realism of the portraits are determined simply by adjusting a slider control on the screen. The same photo can be processed to accommodate a variety of different age/skill levels.
Crayoning the outline takes 1-3 hours and consists of coloring each numbered region with the appropriate crayon as called for in the crayon / number chart. Using just 8-10 crayons can deliver a surprising degree of realism in the finished artwork.
Don't care for crayons? Then use the included software ("PigMaker 3.0") to create a palette for your desired media (mosaics, colored sand, etc.) Plug this palette into CrayonByNumber and now you can create MosaicByNumber, SandByNumber, etc.
