Prince Georges County Voter Education Forum
The forum will bring together county representatives, community members, and others to discuss and offer solutions to major political and social issues challenging Prince Georges County.
Thursday Network, an auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League, will host a Voter Education Forum on Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 7:00 pm in the Art/Sociology Building, Room 2203 at the University of Maryland - College Park. This forum will discuss cover issues receiving heightened attention in Prince Georges County, as well as in the local and national media.
The forum will bring together county representatives, community members, and Thursday Network members, to discuss and offer solutions to major issues challenging Prince Georges County. Thursday Network (TN) is the young professionals auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League. The organization is comprised of more than 150 members who dedicate themselves to serving the Washington, DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery counties through mentoring, philanthropy and community service. The mission of TN is to provide a forum for young adults, ages 21 - 35, to focus their energies on serving the community, cultivating professional development, and increasing political involvement.
Founded in 1938, the Greater Washington Urban League is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social services and civil rights organization with offices in the District of Columbia and Prince Georges County, Maryland.
