Estari Inc., maker of the 2-VU(TM) dual-screen mobile laptop computer, the development of first generation of the device is on schedule for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2002. In fact, the first prototypes have already been delivered to the US military.

Harrisburg, PA (August 19, 2002) -- According to CEO Dr. George Crist, Estari Inc., a leader in providing digital document management software and maker of the 2-VU(TM) dual-screen mobile computer, the development of first generation of the device is on schedule for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2002. In fact, the first prototypes have already been delivered to the US military. Estari has added Charles W. Morrison to the companys management team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The 2-VU brings together many of the best features of the desktop, notebook computer, and tablet PC into a unique computing device," says Dr. Crist, This totally new platform provides computing power that has never before been present in a portable device."
Unlike any of the new breed of portables, the 2-VU offers two, full-sized 12-inch or 15-inch diagonal, full-color touch-screens, an on-screen keyboard, USB, PCMCIA and mini PC ports for peripheral devices. The 2-VU can wirelessly connect to a network and is offered with a 1.6 GHz Intel Mobile P4(R) Processor, and Microsofts Windows(R) XP operating system

Charles Morrison, Estaris new CTO, has been providing support to Estari since early June and officially began his duties on July 1, 2002. Morrison was Senior Engineer of Dell Computer Corporations Special Operations Management Product Group and CTO for Specificity Technology Inc. His background is in notebook computer development.
Morrisons experience at Dell will be extremely valuable to Estari in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of the 2-VU," says Dr. Crist. He understands the issues involved in board design, emissions, mold design, display technology, BIOS and operating system compatibility, vendor relations, mass manufacturing and production."
Morrison was awarded his BSEE with a Minor in Computer Science from Point Park College in Pittsburgh and his ASEE from Penn Technical Institute. He also completed extensive technical and management classes at Dell Computer Corporations Dell University.
Estari Inc. and its partners hold patents on the dual-screen device in the United States, Canada, Germany, Russia, Australia, China, Taiwan and Japan. The patent is pending in Brazil and the European Union and is under consideration in several other countries.
Founded in early 2001, Estari Inc. is an incubator company of PC Parts, a 15-year-old firm that includes PCSurplusOnline.com, an online marketplace for surplus computer goods; Penn Data Networks, an IT consulting firm; and GHCJR Enterprises, a freight-handling company.
