BISCOM INTRODUCES MobileAccess SOFTWARE FOR RIM BLACKBERRY WIRELESS DEVICES
NEW SOFTWARE ENABLES BLACKBERRY USERS TO VIEW AND PRINT EMAIL ATTACHMENTS SEND/RECEIVE FAXES, AND RETRIEVE WEB CONTENT

CHELMSFORD, MA (August 15, 2002) -- Today Biscom, a leading provider of enterprise fax management solutions, began shipping MobileAccess, a software application designed to enhance the use of the popular RIM BlackBerry wireless handhelds. MobileAccess allows BlackBerry users to view email attachments directly on the device, send and receive faxes, retrieve web content, and print attachments.

MobileAccess is a server-based software application that includes 20 user licenses, with additional user license packs available. For customers who do not have an existing fax server, Biscom will offer a special combination package consisting of MobileAccess and Biscoms proven enterprise fax solution, FAXCOM. This combination pack provides BlackBerry users with full fax functionality plus the ability to view text versions of received faxes, and print attachments to any fax machine, anywhere in the world.

MobileAccess incorporates advanced conversion software developed by Biscoms Lincoln & Co. division. This software, which supports over 35 different file formats, uses proprietary technology to ensure accurate conversions and support of the latest versions of the applications.

Biscom is excited about the future of wireless devices and continues to develop products to enhance document delivery," said S.K. Ho, Biscoms founder and CEO. Although MobileAccess is optimized for use with BlackBerry handhelds, the server-based utility will support viewing of e-mail attachments from other PDAs as well. The attachments are converted to plain text and sent as regular email messages and can be conveniently viewed on the small screens of these devices.

MobileAccess ships with client software that integrates one-click" access to fax, URL viewing and attachment conversion functions directly into the BlackBerry menu system.
