Using the "needs hierarchy" of Abraham Maslow (known as the father of secular humanism), Significance Now zeroes in on what happens when a person meets his or her own physical, psychological, social and ego needs to reach self actualization as described by Maslow.

Author Michael Bundy once used Maslow's needs hierarchy in his business career, but discarded it after his growing Christian commitment caused him to literally "turn it over." He discovered that God binds Himself to a promise and will meet our needs if we trust Him.
