GENESIS TO BUILD METHANOL FUEL PROCESSOR FOR MILITARY FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Genesis Technologies LLC of Spokane, Washington announces that it has entered into an agreement to develop and supply a methanol-to-hydrogen fuel processor (also known as a reformer") to Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. of Boulder, Colorado. Ball Aerospace is a leading US defense and aerospace contractor and is developing portable fuel cell power systems for military applications.
Balls fuel cell system will incorporate the Genesis reformer and an EPAC 500 fuel cell power source that is to be supplied by H Power Corp., of Belleville, New Jersey. H Power has recently announced the international commercial launch of its EPAC 500 line of fuel cell products.
Power output of the first integrated Ball system will be in the range of 500 watts. Initial testing is scheduled for early in 2003.
Genesis Technologies is a world leader in the design of high efficiency alcohol to pure hydrogen fuel processors for the fuel cell industry and for industrial hydrogen generation.
