Mid-Atlantic Conference and Trade Show
will spark strategic partnerships
RICHMOND, VA - USA - Leaders from the business, government, education, funding and non-profit sectors will gather for a three-day conference and trade show at the Greater Richmond Convention Center September 11-13, 2002 to learn how to harness innovation and productivity to build more competitive enterprises and communities.
"Virginia 2020, The Marketplace for Innovation and Productivity, is the Mid-Atlantic's first conference and trade show bringing together top decision-makers from the U.S., Canada and Ireland to explore how innovation and productivity within our organizations drive our regional economies and our nations global competitiveness," says Skip Brickley, The Emergent Group, LLC, CEO and forum organizer. Convergence of commerce, communities, policy, and technology is the driving force behind Virginia 2020."
The conference will feature a faculty of over 100 industry leaders and more than 50 substantive sessions and workshops.
Virginias respected Secretary of Education Dr. Belle Wheelan will be one of the conferences keynote speakers. Education is the engine of innovation and productivity," says Dr. Wheelan. I am looking forward to participating in the Virginia 2020 conference and exploring the role of secondary and higher education in our economic future."
Among participating sponsors will be the Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA). Technology-intensive manufacturing requires rapid innovation and continuous productivity growth," says Brett Vassey of VMA. We see Virginia 2020 as a benchmark event that will provide valuable education and a great networking opportunity."
Conference attendees will benefit from sharing case studies during the track sessions, hands-on education in the workshops and networking among the show's exhibitors and sponsors. They will also participate in "think-tank" forums, addressing organizational, regional and state issues.
This first of its kind forum will focus on emerging industry challenges, innovations, best practices, policies and solutions that drive organizational transformation and permit executives to succeed in the global arena.
