RISING NEW CHRISTIAN ARTIST DAVID GLENN WRITES SEE YOU AT THE POLE 2002 THEME SONG

Rising new Christian artist David Glenn writes theme song for the student-led nationwide prayer event "See You At The Pole 2002."

NASHVILLE, TN Ð AUGUST 22, 2002 Ð New Christian artist David Glenn has teamed up with Danny Stephens, of Smalltown Poets fame, to pen the theme song for this yearÕs See You At The Pole-National Day of Student Prayer event to be held September 18th nationwide.

The theme song, ÒCome DownÓ, appears on the See You At The Pole 2002 CD compilation that also features Matt Redman, Rebecca St. James, and the David Crowder Band.

ÒOh, that You would burst from the heavens and come downÓ is the 2002 See You At The Pole theme taken from Isaiah 64:1-2. The passionate cry of the prophet Isaiah was that God would come down and move in mighty power as a testimony to the world.

The chorus of GlennÕs song says, ÒCome down, come down from above, and let us see Your kingdom come, and Your will, will be done.Ó

As they have for the last 12 years, students will gather around school flagpoles at 7 a.m. on September 18th to lift up prayers for America, itÕs leaders and itÕs youth, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening to their campuses and the nation.

ÒMy sole desire is to write songs that inspire people to take steps closer to Christ and to make music that will impact His kingdom,Ó says Glenn who is quickly becoming known for his passionate, edgy praise and worship music.

Scotty Wilbanks, former Newsong member and producer of GlennÕs latest EP ÒStand UpÓ adds, ÒDavid gives a unique and fresh twist to praise and worship music, blending pop with cool grooves, which accents his unique vocal ability.Ó

Performing over 100 concerts a year, he has shared the stage with multiple Dove award winner Jennifer Knapp, as well as Jill Phillips and Charles Billingsley.
