DataOne Software today received copyright approval from the Library of Congress for its propriatary VINS engine.

Issued by the United States Copyright Office for a literary work, the copyright covers the code/decode brain of the DataOne Vehicle Inventory Now Services (VINS). The VINS engine is the cortex of the DataOne Software VINS Service and was designed to parse R&R/ADP data and perform decodes.

"This was an amazing achievement for our company, one that took an enormous amount of effort on the part of everyone involved" said Jock Pereira, President and CEO, DataOne Software. "As we continue to develop our popular VINS service it is important to us that we protect our work. Copyright TXu 1-038-177 is a big first step in legally protecting and preserving what has become an invaluable service to our current and future vehicle distributers/dealerships.
