ImagoQA Delegates First to Take ISEB Practitioner Examinations for The British Computer Society

ImagoQA, the UK's leading software acceptance and testing consultancy, and first to be awarded accreditation from the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) of the British Computer Society to run its new Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing courses, has now also put forward the first candidates for the Practitioner Examinations.

"It's the most comprehensive software testing course ever devised, and the Examination reflects this", says Brian Hambling, Technical Director of
ImagoQA. "With five out of the first eight delegates passing first time, we believe the Certification level is about right. Those who achieve it will lead our profession".

Coming top of the ImagoQA delegates was Lawrance Titterton, who attended the Company's first Practitioner course and recently joined the Charities Aid Foundation to head a team testing the development of a single integrated back office solution to replace a large number of legacy systems. "Not only am I now working with an organisation who believes in testing the way that testing should be conducted and who are receptive to new ideas and working methods, but I am actually using a large percentage of what was taught in the Practitioner course on a day to day basis."

Delivering its own material, ImagoQA has also partnered with Parity Training to run the Practitioner courses - in day-long modules or the full two weeks - in training centres throughout the UK or on-site. In addition, ImagoQA will continue its successful corporate programme which has so far helped a number of large organisations, including Barclays, HSBC, IMS
Health, Nokia and BT, to roll out both the Foundation and new Practitioner level Certification across their organisations.

ImagoQA is committed to Certification as the best way to boost the competence and credibility of software quality professionals. "Our skills
transfer programme is being continuously developed and we are already looking beyond ISEB Practitioner to the skills needed by quality
professionals working in a modern development environment. With this in mind we have now released details of new course offerings that will be available this Autumn," Brian Hambling concluded.
