Grassy Knoll Cowards Surface at Kenny's Castaways
Grassy Knoll Cowards will be playing selections from "Blood on Pink Chanel," a rock opera about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, at Kenny's Castaways in New York City.
NEW YORK, Aug. 29 -- After years underground, The Grassy Knoll Cowards will surface at Kenny's Castaways at 157 Bleecker Street on Sept. 5, at 10:00 p.m. Admission is $5.
These brazen whistleblowers will perform music from an original rock opera about the assassination of John F. Kennedy written by former Vampyr Theatre writer Tony Sokol. The opera proves that it was not a conspiracy, but a coincidence that a diverse group of ad hoc conspirators happened to assassinate President Kennedy on the same day, at the same time and in the same place.
The music varies in style from classic-rock to speed-zydeco, with prog-rock, metal rap, country, 60s girl group and dance music, bump and grind and atonal songs and interludes.
The Grassy Knoll Cowards are:
Raphael Bachrach: drums
Joe Bohmer: vocals and keyboards
Rob DeGeorge: guitar and vocals
Raffi Kadian: vocals, keyboards, bass and percussion
Caitlin Moore: vocals
Tony Sokol: vocals, bass, guitar and percussion
