US HISPANICS SPENDING $20 BILLION ON TELECOM, SAYS INSIGHT RESEARCH
BOONTON, NJ. August 26, 2002: US Hispanics will spend over $21.3 billion on local, long distance, wireless and Internet services this year, representing over 40 percent of the lucrative ethnic telecommunications consumer market, according to a new report by INSIGHT Research.
INSIGHTs new report, US Hispanic Use of Telecom Services 2002-2007, reveals that US Hispanics constitute a larger, more geographically dispersed, and more affluent market than previously believed, and capturing this market can prove pivotal to the future success of telecom marketers. Multicultural marketing campaigns that promote products and services specifically targeted to the Hispanic market have become an essential element for carriers looking for growth opportunities in an otherwise stagnant telecom market.
