Korean firm - Woong Ji Accounting Corporation - joins Russell Bedford International

London-based accountancy group, Russell Bedford International, continues the expansion of its Asia-Pacific network by taking on a new member firm in Seoul, South Korea.

The London-based network of independent accountancy firms, Russell Bedford International, has continued the expansion of its Asia-Pacific network by welcoming a new member firm in Seoul, South Korea.

Woong Ji Accounting Corporation is a young and growing firm of certified public accountants located in one of the main business districts of the Korean capital.

Offering a full range of accounting, tax and consulting services, the firm has specialist expertise in statutory audit, tax planning, management consultancy and business process restructuring.

The three partners - Michael Hwang, Thomas Lee and Brian Shim - all started their careers in major international accounting firms before founding their own independent practice in Seoul. In addition to Korean, all three partners speak fluent English and two speak Chinese.

Woong Ji was founded to exploit the demand by Korean businesses for international ties and foreign capital investment, and the firm now has clients with overseas operations in China, Indonesia and Malaysia. Together with its affiliates in the Russell Bedford network, Woong Ji is now able to offer its clients a truly global one-stop service.

The firm, which has some 26 personnel, is a member of the Korean Institute of CPAs and is approved by the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Earlier this year, Russell Bedford International announced the addition of new member firms in Sydney and Singapore, joining its existing Asia-Pacific region offices in Hong Kong and Melbourne.
