JOSÉ ALMEIDA JOINS THALES COMPUTERS AS
PRE-SALES SUPPORT MANAGER FOR THE
COMPANYS EXPORT REGIONS
Raleigh, NC, August 26, 2002 -- Thales Computers, a leader in providing PowerPC and Pentium-based VME computing solutions to OEMs and system integrators, has announced that José Almeida has joined the company as Manager of Pre-Sales Support for the export regions, which include Asia, the Pacific and Northern Europe. Almeida will be in charge of coordinating all technical pre-sales activities for those regions. This will include educating customers on Thales Computers products including their specific applications, coordinating product evaluations, and defining hardware architectures. Almeida will be headquartered in Jouy-en-Josas, France near Paris.
Almeida previously worked for LynuxWorks, where he was responsible for the companys technical support throughout the EMEA region. He also worked as a project manager, in charge of designing complex real-time process control applications based on VME systems. Almeida also designed VME boards for Themis Computers.
