What if you fell asleep in your own bed, but woke up somewhere else? LUCID, a new fiction novel by Christina Evans, explores the possibilities of dream travel.

Seattle, WA-8/29/02-Lucid, Christinas first novel, revolves around a young woman named Andie, who can travel to other places in her dreams. But because she has no control over her ability she has spent most of her life sheltered and alone. The sudden death of Andie's father reveals a long kept secret, throwing Andie headlong into an unexpected adventure where she must eventually attempt to use her untamed power to prevent tragedy.

Released in May, 2002 by Writers Club Press, Lucid has been hailed by readers as fast-paced", well written with a good plot", and amazing!" Much action and adventure can be found throughout the book as Andie meets a handsome neurologist, has a run-in with the police, and must join in a frantic search for her kidnapped sister. Set in Seattle, Lucid also offers history of the Underground, Seattles famous original city that was destroyed by a fire in the 1800s.

Author Christina Evans is not without adventure in her own life. Adopted as a newborn, Christina hired a private investigator to track down her biological parents in 1995. Getting re-acquainted with her birth family was an emotional roller-coaster for the young woman, which has inspired her to begin writing a novel about what it feels like to be an adopted child.

In addition to writing, Christina is now preparing to attend the University of Washingtons Healthcare Information Administration program to earn a Bachelors in Science. She works as a medical bookkeeper in the Seattle area.
