"Film maker picks Dallas for Rock Video"
Academy award nominated Director, Lance Larson, through the Production Company Fat Lady Sings has teamed up with Indie record label Dingo Gold Records of Houston to shoot a rock video in downtown Dallas the weekend of September 7th and 8th 2002. Dingo Gold recording artists "Tin Henry" will be performing their recently released song for the video called "Inside Out"
"The video will be as visually intense as the song", says Lance, an Oscar nominated film director for 'Beyond Babylon'. Dallas post production house, Reel FX, fresh from the blockbuster hit 'Spy Kids II' will handle special effects for 'Inside Out'
Producer Brandye James of Fat Lady Sings Productions brought together Lance and 'Tin Henry' to shoot the video after playing the director the bands just released CD 'Twisted' on their own Indie label Dingo Gold Records. Says Brandye, "The song was so intense, I just had to play it for Lance. He is so visual and I knew he was between projects." This will be the first rock video for both director and producer. Lance directed last years Cooder Graw CMT video.
Coming aboard to work once again with Lance is Cinematographer Jim Shelton. Jim and Lance have worked together since meeting and graduating from the University of Texas and have always created intriguing award winning films. 1999 Academy Award nominated short film 'Crosswalk' are examples of director and photographer weaving interesting tales. "MTV will not be able to put this down", said Lance.
Downtown Dallas has been selected with special stunts to be performed including car crashes and a leap from one building to the street below. The story revolves around a woman who makes a decision that turns others lives 'Inside Out'. Lance takes you through how it affects her, strangers and then in reverse what would happen when the woman makes a different choice.
