bCheck(SM) Will Allow Consumers to Pay for Purchases Without Cash or Checks

Herndon, Va. -- September 4, 2002 -- Tim Robinson, president and founder of BioPay, LLC, and John McNally, BioPay chief technology officer, will outline the companys new bCheck(SM) biometric payment service during two speaking engagements later this month. bCheck will be available to merchants across the United States by the end of the year and allow consumers to pay for purchases with the touch of their finger.

Tim Robinson will speak at the Mid-America Payments Exchange Conference on September 9, in Kansas City, Missouri and John McNally will be speaking to attendees at the 2002 Biometric Consortium Conference in Crystal City, Virginia on September 24.

By the end of the presentations, attendees will know that bCheck builds upon the significant accomplishments of our Paycheck Secure system to give merchants the power to substantially reduce losses and payment processing costs and increase revenue while giving customers valued convenience and added personal security.

BioPay recently reach significant milestones, including

• Verifying one million transactions. BioPays Paycheck Secure biometric identification check cashing system has been used to initiate and verify over one million financial transactions. This milestone occurred on August 4, 2002 at Duthler Family Food in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

• Increasing consumer demand. To date, more than 200,000 consumers have voluntarily enrolled in Paycheck Secure to take advantage of the systems convenience and security.

• Growing merchant demand. The Paycheck Secure system is now being used by more than 200 merchants, with one or more lanes or locations, in 22 states across the country.

The company also has the largest commercial electronic fingerprint database in the United States.

Mr. Robinson is the founder of BioPay, LLC. He has extensive experience in credit card, debit card and check processing transactions. He founded CheckAGAIN, a business focused on recovering merchants returned checks via the ACH payment network; Credit-Link, Inc., a credit card sales organization; and Merchant-Link, a technical support business for restaurant point of sale equipment. Mr. Robinson is also owner and president of ArJay Data, the largest independent processor of SCAN check authorization transactions. He is a member of NACHAs Electronic Check Council.

Mr. McNally is the chief technology officer for BioPay, LLC. Mr. McNally manages BioPay's software design and development teams. He also oversees BioPay's information security policies and enforcement, and is responsible for information technology and network planning. Before BioPay, he was responsible for the architecture and development of CheckAGAIN's advanced database and Internet e-commerce ACH management system. He has worked as a technical manager at AT&T, leading technical and development initiatives to create systems used by AT&T's 9,000 call center representatives. Mr. McNally is the primary author of Informix Unleashed.
