WILDLIFE CARE CENTERS "WILDLIFE BALL" TO BENEFIT SOUTH FLORIDA'S WILDLIFE

Ft. Lauderdale, FL/ -- The Wildlife Care Center (WCC) announces its Annual Benefit, the "Wildlife Ball", which will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the Westin Hotel Cypress Creek, 400 Corporate Drive, Fort Lauderdale. The event begins at 6:30pm with an open bar cocktail reception until 8:00pm Dress is cocktail, casual and in between.


Co-Chairpersons are WCC Board Members Jeffrey Arciniaco and Pam Huizenga. Keith Gray, of Gray and Sons Jewelers will serve as Honorary Chairperson. Committee members include WCC Board Members Ardath Rosengarden and Jennifer Cohen; Camie Dunbar, Jan Geismar, Kate Gioia, Carol Hiering, Lisa Roberts, Kathy Skomsky, and Tina Valant-Siebelts. Artist Kathy Kneale created an original design for this years invitation which will be featured on a poster, available at the event. Channel 10's Doug Dunbar will serve as Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer.

Guests will enjoy extraordinary food, complimentary wine with dinner, dancing till Midnight to the five-piece band, Long Island Sound, and silent and live auctions with more than 100 items, including a getaway weekend at Sandals Resort, jewelry, artwork, and tickets to sporting events. The grand prize drawing for the Centers annual raffle will also take place that evening. Three winners will receive a choice of $1,000, a Grand Bahamas vacation, or a ride on the Goodyear Blimp.

This exciting evening has been priced at just $85 per person. Tables of ten may also be reserved in advance for a discounted price of $800.

"We are anticipating an attendance of 300 at the Wildlife Ball and have set a goal of $75,000," said Diane Watchinski, director of development. Funds raised at this event will help us continue our efforts to save Floridas fragile wildlife."

The Wildlife Care Center provides a service in South Florida that is vital to the ongoing survival of native, domestic and exotic animals in our area. Without them, the future of South Florida wildlife and that of other injured, abandoned or abused animals would be bleak! It has been and will always be my honor to assist the Wildlife Care Center in
fundraising endeavors and to aid in their growth," said co-chair Pam Huizenga.

The Wildlife Care Center is a private nonprofit organization. It has provided an indispensable service in Fort Lauderdale for more than 30 years. The Center's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and release native wildlife; to find homes for various domestic, exotic and farm animals who have been abused, neglected or abandoned; and promote co-existence with animals through education.
