Convergent Systems to target SMEs and call centres with Telephonetics new virtual operator system


Hemel Hempstead, UK--Fast growing computer telephony and speech recognition specialists Telephonetics have appointed Convergent Systems as an Approved Reseller.

Convergent Systems, a UK-based supplier of communications equipment and services, will initially focus on selling Telephonetics new virtual operator system, the ContactPortal®, into the SME and contact centre markets.

Believed to be the first system of its type in the UK, Telephonetics new ContactPortal® can be integrated with virtually any PABX on the market and uses advanced speech recognition technology to answer, transfer and make telephone calls.

When callers ring in, the system simply asks them who theyd like to speak to and then automatically transfers them to the correct extension. To make internal and external calls, users just say the name of the person they want to talk to and the system automatically puts the call through.

The ContactPortal® also incorporates unique call screening and mobility features which enable individuals to control if, when and from whom they wish to receive calls.
