Given the recent shake up in the accounting industry, this is the perfect opportunity to spawn a niche market that is largely under-serviced here in Los Angeles," said Farb.
Rothstein, Kass & Companys West Coast real estate group focuses on providing accounting, audit, tax, information technology and tax and accounting outsourcing services to the real estate industry and middle market companies.
Farb has been practicing public accounting and has specialized in servicing real estate and entrepreneurial middle market companies since he began his career 25 years ago. A native New Yorker, he relocated to Los Angeles after passing the CPA exam and obtaining his audit experience with a Big 5" firm in New York City. In 1980, Farb joined Kenneth Leventhal & Company, a well-known real estate accounting and consulting firm,
and rose through the ranks under the tutelage of the founding partners, including Ken Leventhal. In 1989, Farb became the managing partner of the firms entrepreneurial services group. Kenneth Leventhal & Company merged with Ernst & Young in 1995.
Farb is enthusiastic about the multi-disciplined audit, tax and information technology team he has in place and would like to replicate the boutique" nature of the Kenneth Leventhal firm.
Rothstein, Kass & Company P.C. is well-known for its expertise in the financial services industry by providing clients with a full range of accounting, tax, consulting and outsourcing services to investment funds, private equity funds, and hedge funds.
