OuterBounds Technologies selected to provide application hosting and IT management services to Shared Agency Services

Application Hosting and IT Management Services reduces TCO and allows agencies to refocus on servicing customers

Atlanta, GA, September 11, 2002 -- OuterBounds Technologies, Inc. (www.outerbounds.com), an end-to-end Application Service Provider and provider of enterprise desktop management solutions, today announced a three year agreement to provide application hosting and IT management services to Shared Agency Services (S.A.S.) delivered via Citrix® MetaFrame XP(TM) application serving software and Citrix® NFuse® Elite access portal server from Citrix Systems, Inc.(Nasdaq: CTXS). The agreement will reduce agencies total cost of technology ownership while providing them with a guaranteed and predictable fee-for-service solution and return focus to customer service and selling insurance.

S.A.S., an insurance agency conglomeration, accounts for more than 82 locations and 1,000 users throughout the State of Georgia and writes in excess of 450 million premium dollars in the state. S.A.S. leverages resources to negotiate the best arrangements with insurance vendors or for any product or service the group may require, including information technology services, giving the individual agency more purchasing power and access to shared resources. S.A.S. chose OuterBounds Technologies to reduce agencies technology burden, lower technology costs, and automate the process of establishing infrastructure for new agencies.

OuterBounds Technologies will combine all server and infrastructure hardware, storage, security, virus protection, and total application outsourcing of agency management and business critical software for individual agencies. Through this agreement, S.A.S. agencies can eliminate their need to acquire and implement costly server and networking infrastructure, and dedicated IT management staff. Utilizing Citrix® NFuse® Elite Internet portal technology, remote S.A.S. agents can access applications, data, and shared information via a standard Internet connection, giving them instant access to all applications and data necessary to conduct business remotely from anywhere in the world.
