THROW RAG PERFORM AT BENEFIT CONCERT, ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL TOUR DATES SUPPORTING THE DAMNED

Southern California band Throw Rag will perform at benefit concert in Costa Mesa, CA on September 21st.

Sizzling Southern California band THROW RAG (www.throwrag.com) will perform at a benefit concert in Costa Mesa on Saturday, September 21st, in an effort to raise money to cover medical expenses for two dear, personal friends who are both struggling with overwhelming physical conditions. The sailor rock" band from Salton Sea, CA are taking time out of their tour schedule to appear at the event on behalf of two very special friends, four-year old Leilani Gutierre, and Danny Dougherty.

Gutierrez was the victim of a serious accident when a car being driven by her mother was hit by a car that run a red light. The little girl was left in a coma with severe spinal injuries. Although she has since come out of the coma, Leilani is now paralyzed from the chin down and the doctors prognosis is that she will never be able to breath on her own again. THROW RAG lead singer Captain Tae-Bo said: The family and their friends have rallied to get funds together to help with the overwhelming costs of this great heartache. People from all over have put their hearts and financial help out to Leilanis aid. We want to help too."

In a separate incident, the bands good friend Danny Dougherty was recently diagnosed with Stage III cancer that has spread from his esophagus to his liver. Captain explains: Danny is currently undergoing chemotherapy to fight the cancer but he is too weak to work and needs our help."

The benefit concert, which will also feature performances by local favorites pop pioneers Smile and special guest O.C. pop-crooner Jay Buchanan, will take place at the Detroit Bar at 843 W 19 Street in Costa Mesa. Show time is 9:00PM. A $15 door fee will go to help Lailani and Danny. Additional donations can be made as follows:
