Encino, CA - - September 13, 2002 - - Professional Education International and SpreadsheetWorld present Spreadsheet Aided Data Plotting & Analysis" December 9-11, 2002 at the Oxford Inn & Suites in Lancaster, CA.

The Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and its built-in VBA programming language are powerful tools that are vastly under utilized in the engineering profession. There is a tendency to view the spreadsheet in terms of its limited capability in early versions, but it is important that engineers become more aware of the power and capability of current versions." says Dr. Tom Mincer, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at California State University and President of SpreadsheetWorld. With a solid foundation in the skills and techniques presented in the Spreadsheet-Aided" course series, engineers and analysts are able to vastly improve their individual productivity, and companies are able to benefit from a corresponding increase in overall team productivity.

This brand new course is designed to help achieve that objective by reinforcing the concepts presented with real-life applications in the students area of interest. Participants will learn how to completely manage their technical data from storage to analysis to visualization. One highly-requested area of interest that will be covered in depth is the complete understanding and automation of Excels charting objects. Additionally, SpreadsheetWorld will be introducing their newest product, XLTechPlot, which provides top-quality plotting capabilities directly from an Excel worksheet.

Engineers and analysts who have participated in the on-site, public, and self-study versions of the various Spreadsheet Aided Engineering" courses have learned how to develop powerful and effective spreadsheets, develop add-in collections for rapid functional modeling, integrate FORTRAN or C/C++ libraries with Excel, implement ActiveX controls and forms for project control, integrate dynamic system simulations inside an optimization loop, and much more. More importantly, they have learned how to dramatically improve both the quality and quantity of their technical products.

Dr. Mincer and the SpreadsheetWorld team have been developing Spreadsheet-Aided workshops over the last 7 years. The flagship Spreadsheet Aided Engineering workshop has been offered over 100 times to more than 1,500 engineers at companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop-Grumman, NASA, Dow Chemical, General Motors, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Pratt & Whitney and Harley-Davidson. More information on this course as well as the other courses in the Spreadsheet Aided Engineering series is available by calling SpreadsheetWorld toll-free at (866) 285-9068 or visiting their website at http://www.spreadsheetworld.com.
