Hal Kacancek performs on the mystical Australian didjeridu at Cedarburg's Harvest Fest.
Did you always want to know what a didjeridu does? Or have you ever asked the question "what does a didjeridu do?" Have you ever heard an Irish pvc pipe whistle? What about a showerhoseeuphonium? Join Dr. Hal (Hal Kacanek, Ph. D. that is) at Cedarburg Harvestfest on Saturday Sept 21 and Sunday Sept 22 on the Screamin Tuna Sport Shop stage. Watch him perform on the mystical didjeridu of the Australian Aboriginese . Volunteer to be one of the lucky ones to play along with him on his new invention, the Gazimba. Participate as part of an over the head whirling tube orchestra. Dr. Hal does programs and presentations for a wide variety of audiences about sound instruments from all over the world. He also makes instruments from all sorts of materials. He likes to involve his audience by having them interact with the improvisation. Dr. Hal will show you how to make Native American Style flutes out of pvc pipe after the program. In addition he will bring a few along, along with his instruction manual on how to play them. They will be available for purchase.
