MPS Names Brian McDonald as VP Administration and Chief Financial Officer
Los Gatos, CA -- Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), a leading supplier of power management IC solutions, today announced the appointment of Brian McDonald as Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McDonald assumed his new duties on August 05, 2002 and reports directly to Michael Hsing, MPSs President and CEO. Mr. McDonald joins MPS from Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. where he held the position of Vice President Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McDonalds departure from Elantec comes after its successful acquisition and integration by Intersil Corporation.

Mr. McDonald brings a wealth of semiconductor experience to MPS with over 20 years in the industry. Mr. McDonald assumed his new duties on August 05, 2002 and reports directly to Michael Hsing, MPSs President and CEO.

Mr. McDonald joins MPS from Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. where he held the position of Vice President Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McDonalds departure from Elantec comes after its successful acquisition and integration by Intersil Corporation. Mr. McDonald previously held various senior management positions at leading Silicon Valley companies including Mattson Technology, National Semiconductor Corp., Read Rite Corporation and Micro Linear Corporation. Mr. McDonald holds a BS degree in Administration from Santa Clara University.
