Science Center launches new e-newsletter
The University City Science Center is launching a new e-based newsletter to help inform the research and technology communities in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 20, 2002 - The University City Science Center is launching a new bi-monthly regional e-newsletter, the Science Center Wire."
We hope this e-publication will act as a virtual gathering space for Greater Philadelphias bio-technology and information technology communities-keeping our regional stakeholders, partners, friends, and the broader community informed of news and developments from the Science Center and beyond," said Science Center President Jill Felix.
We see the Science Center Wire as a valuable way that the Science Center can expand its reach and effectiveness," Felix said. Its designed to keep technology entrepreneurs and all those interested in technology commercialization connected and informed."
The Science Center Wire" will include stories from each of the Science Centers activity bases, feature innovative new businesses that are coming out of the Commercialization Center, new partnerships from the Institute, and other initiatives spearheaded by the Center. The Wire will also feature profiles of key regional players, event announcements, and links to important websites.
The current issue, for instance--now available at www.ucsc.org/sciencecenterwire--features responses from the two candidates for Governor of Pennsylvania, Mike Fisher and Ed Rendell, to questions regarding their visions for the future of the states life science and IT industries. This issue also includes profiles of ExpenseWatch.com-an exciting new company that has recently incubated out of the Commercialization Center-CONNECT Greater Philadelphia-a major new initiative with Greater Philadelphia First to help science and technology entrepreneurs start and grow businesses-and BioAdvance, the new Southeastern Pennsylvania greenhouse" for life sciences ventures.
