COMMUNITY NATIONAL BANCORPORATION ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH TRIDENT SECURITIES
Community National Bancorporation (OTCBB: CBAC) (the Company"), announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Trident Securities, a division of McDonald Investments Inc. (Trident"), for Trident to provide financial advisory services to the Company. The services will consist of an evaluation of the strategic alternatives available to the Company in order to maximize shareholder value, including a possible sale or merger of the Company.
ASHBURN, GA, (---September 18, 2002---) Community National Bancorporation (OTCBB: CBAC) (the Company"), announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Trident Securities, a division of McDonald Investments Inc. (Trident"), for Trident to provide financial advisory services to the Company. The services will consist of an evaluation of the strategic alternatives available to the Company in order to maximize shareholder value, including a possible sale or merger of the Company.

The agreement calls for Trident to have exclusive rights to perform the financial advisory services for the Company for a period of 90 days from the date of the agreement and states that the Company may choose in its sole discretion to pursue or not to pursue any potential sale or merger of the Company with an interested party identified by Trident.
