READY PAC PRODUCE RAISES MORE THAN $113,000
FOR KIDS TO CAMP PROGRAM
2002 Program Sends 520 Youths To Summer Camp
Ready Pac, one of the countrys leading providers of fresh-cut produce, is pleased to announce that the companys Kids to Camp program raised more than $113,000 this past summer. The money collected was used to send 520 underprivileged youths on a week-long adventure at seven summer camps around the country.
Irwindale, Calif., September 18, 2002 -Ready Pac, one of the countrys leading providers of fresh-cut produce, is pleased to announce that the companys Kids to Camp program raised more than $113,000 this past summer. The money collected was used to send 520 underprivileged youths on a week-long adventure at seven summer camps around the country.
For the past six years, Ready Pac has championed Kids to Camp by matching 30 percent of all donations made to the program. This year seven summer camps -- three on the east coast and four on the west -- including: Cedar Lake, Camp Wasewagan, Armenian Cilicia Camp Arev, Camp Hope, New Jersey District Youth Camp, Camp Bluff Lake and Newmans Hole in the Wall Camp participated in Ready Pacs program.
Members of the Ready Pac family have chosen these camps specifically because the money donated is designated to benefit the children directly," said Dennis Gertmenian, chief executive officer of Ready Pac. Over the last six years, we have sent over 1,970 kids to camp and we look forward to sending even more young people in the years
to come."
In addition to the Kids to Camp program, Ready Pac also works closely with the City of Hope and other community organizations by donating approximately 10 percent of its annual profits back to the community.
