NEWS RELEASE
Geodex Minerals Ltd
September 12, 2002 Trading Symbol: GXM
Geodex Minerals Ltd. (the 'company) is pleased to announce that an exploration program is about to begin on its Lac 1-5 claim block in the Lac de Gras area, Northwest Territories,. The Lac claims are one portion of a land position acquired in April 2002 from a private interest in Yellowknife. The company can acquire a 100% interest in these claims subject to a further option payment in 2003 and a 3% GOR with a 2% buyback by the company at a rate of $200,000 per 0.1%.
The property lies on a trend of kimberlites which can be traced southward from the Ekati property to the north where several representatives appear in the mine plan of the new mining development. The program will focus on several untested anomalies in the claim block, including one mineral indicator train which appears to be sourced within the claims and a magnetic anomaly which has not been adequately tested. (http://www.geodexminerals.com/lac-de-grass-option.html). Other areas of the claims will be checked where anomalous kimberlite indicator minerals have been reported.
First phase of the program will be collection of till samples to provide focus on the areas of interest and prospecting to add detail on the anomalous features presently recognized. The intention is to follow this phase with an airborne geophysical program to look for additional drill targets.
