Database-Driven Intranet Application for Case Management
Culver City, Calif. --- AMULET Development Corp. is pleased to announce its selection by the Community Action Partnership (CAP) for custom Web development services in support of the non-profit organizations services for economically and socially disadvantaged. The organization contracted with AMULET to build the new Intake Database intranet software application where a distributed group of staff members may enter and track case information -- household demographics, service referrals, income detail, energy assistance, and case notes. The software will include custom database design, Web data entry forms, database queries, and reports designed to streamline and improve the efficiency of the case management process. The new database application will be designed to save costs associated with staff resources while increasing efficiency and accuracy for this important functional area within the organization.
Incorporated in 1966 as a private, non-profit organization, CAP serves the economically and socially disadvantaged by responding to their specific needs, enabling them to become self-sufficient and to reach their full potential through individual, social, economic, and educational development. CAP is located in Lewiston, Idaho with their website found at: www.acommunityactionpartnership.org.
AMULETS Database Development Services
AMULET plans to redevelop CAPs current Microsoft Access-based application to build the new Intake Database application. Technologies upon which the application shall be based include Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, the IIS Web Server platform, the Active Server Pages (ASP) programming environment, in conjunction with the SQL Server 2000 relational database management software. The main goal of the project is to provide a scalable application that can parallel the organizations growth. The multi-user Web application shall operate on a shared server platform hosted with XO Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:XOXOQ), and will be securely available to the various remote locations of the CAP organization.
A Word from AMULETS CEO
Were very pleased to receive the project award from CAP because their technical requirements match our expertise with building quality intranet solutions very well," says Dan D. Gutierrez, AMULETs CEO. The organization had been struggling with a low-end desktop database solution for some time, with up to 10 local LAN users and 22 remote users over a Windows Terminal Services connection. The equivalent Webtop application will provide much better scalability and ease-of-access that CAP needs."
