The event takes place at the Marriott Hotel, central Leeds, on Wednesday, November 20. All bona-fide entrants whose submissions are received by Friday September 27 will be invited.
This years bigger and better scheme will see prizes presented in seven categories:
· Newspaper of the Year
· Magazine of the Year
· New Media Outlet of the Year
· Daily Newspaper Journalist of the Year
· Weekly Newspaper Journalist of the Year
· Magazine Journalist of the Year
· Broadcast Journalist of the Year
The awards are open to business journalists and media outlets based between the Trent and Scottish border and individuals can enter in more than one category.
Each entry must be accompanied by a registration form, available from Tim Curran, at Ptarmigan Consultants, on 0113 242 1155
(email: tim@ptarmiganpr.co.uk)
The prize for the winner of each category for individuals will be 1,000.
This is the fourth year Yorkshire Bank has run the awards, the most prestigious of their kind outside London.
Geoff Greer, chief operating officer at Yorkshire Bank, said: Were delighted to confirm Ian Hislop will be joining us at the dinner. In addition to his appearances on Have I Got News For You, he is editor of Private Eye and a Sunday Telegraph columnist, so hell have plenty to say which will interest journalists.
The closing date for entries is now, however, looming and it would be a great shame if any eligible journalist or outlet missed out on the chance to win a prestigious award and be part of a memorable evening through neglecting to get their submission to us on time."
